On Saturday, I headed over to Grimey’s in Nashville with some of the Love In Stereo crew to check out the in-store performance of one of my favorite bands right now, indie rock all-stars Surfer Blood. I’ve been really excited about their debut album “Astro Coast,” and its been in my heavy rotation for a long time. Bryson and I taped the show, and then aftewards I got to meet the band and interviewed lead singer and Surfer Blood mastermind, J.P. Pitts, and drummer Tyler Schwarz. Cool guys, great show, and did I mention we all headed to Chipotle after the show. How do you beat that?

So I saw several people this week posting similar images to this one and I thought I’d give it a try. Apparently this is the roller coaster ride my mouse goes on every day. The big black hole in the middle was lunch (the circle radiates larger when sitting). Sorta interesting. Oddly beautiful. Thursday.

On Thursday night we decided it only made sense to throw LIS a birthday party. Is it our birthday? No. Was it anyone’s birthday? No. So why have a birthday party for Love In Stereo? I think the question is “Why not??” It was awesome. We ate cake. And we made a stupid sweet video thanking everyone (and I mean everyone) who has bought a LIS t-shirt for Haiti. Enjoy.
