On Monday night, we went to see Arcade Fire at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. It was ridiculous. Best concert I’ve ever been to. Here’s some photos, courtesy of the Nashville Scene:

Video from someone standing just a few people down from us, pretty much how we saw the show:

Welcome to my new favorite band, Chiddy Bang. I can’t stop playing these guys. Anybody sampling MGMT and Passion Pit are friends of mine.

2 new tracks from Arcade Fire’s upcoming album. Cool factor: you can play the record backwards. Just drag it counter-clockwise.

I started thinking today about how good the music has been coming out of this year, so I went back and added up the albums that I’ve gotten my hands on. Here they are. Longer list than my wallet would like, but easily well worth it.

On Saturday, I headed over to Grimey’s in Nashville with some of the Love In Stereo crew to check out the in-store performance of one of my favorite bands right now, indie rock all-stars Surfer Blood. I’ve been really excited about their debut album “Astro Coast,” and its been in my heavy rotation for a long time. Bryson and I taped the show, and then aftewards I got to meet the band and interviewed lead singer and Surfer Blood mastermind, J.P. Pitts, and drummer Tyler Schwarz. Cool guys, great show, and did I mention we all headed to Chipotle after the show. How do you beat that?

You’re looking at a sneak peek shot of my newest project for Love In Stereo, a non-profit bringing music, art, and people who love each together to make change happen. Here’s a screenshot of the mockup in development. You’re looking at what will soon be the “Join Us” page of the site.
